Sqworl is a social bookmarking tool which can be used to help educators provide safe and reliable bookmarked websites for their students to use as pathfinders during the research process. This website was created to help Franklin County elementary teachers provide those websites to their students while researching topics from the grade level common core standards. This project was done in hopes of being beneficial to our students and teachers.
Reference Collection Online Sites - Includes Galileo, encyclopedia, dictionary, thesaurus, almanac, atlas, and others.
Technology for Teachers - This Sqworl contains various technology and media sites that can be used by all teachers regardless of grade level.
Library Classification - Our library is divided into fiction and nonfiction. Go here for more information about the Dewey Decimal System and its creator Melvil Dewey.
Copyright Guides for Educators - A collection of websites that help educators understand copyright and fair use laws. There are also websites, a video, and activities for students to learn about copyright and fair use.
Children's Literature - This Sqworl features websites that include the University of Georgia's Children's Book Awards and the ALA Newbery and Caldecott Awards home pages.
Lexile Measure - Web resources for understanding Lexile measures, a Lexile map for teachers to download, and the Lexile "Find a Book" tool.
Professional Development - This page features links to professional development lessons for educators.
Web Resources for Teachers - An abundance of websites that range from best books of the year to integration of technology into common core lessons.
